The Class Zero is made up of 65students from disaster areas. Some of them left their relatives in the 5.12 earthquake. They hoped to start a new life from zero, so they called their class Zero.
In order to make them spend a warm winter，Red Cross of Shuangliu county sent 65 down coats and cotton quilts to them on 11.25 .
At 2:30.pm, the donation ceremony began in the lecture2 in Ttanghu Middle school. It was hosted by Zhou Ying, the secretary of Youth League Committee. Chen Yuping, the secretary general of Red Cross in Shuangliu and president Xiong in Tanghu Middle School and some other leaders joined the ceremony. The reporters from Shuangliu TV station and newspaper office have reported this meeting.
In the ceremony, president Xiong made an important speech expressing thanks to those who have helped the students of Class Zero. He wished the students to make unremitting efforts to improve themselves and study hard.
Deng Xianyu, a student from Class Zero, suggested to the whole class singing the song called Heart of Feel Grateful so that they could express their thankfulness.
After the meeting, they said they would try their best to make the school feel proud of them. They would get good grades to repay the school and society.

为了让就读于棠湖中学零班的65名来自地震灾区的学生度过一个温暖的冬天，让他们感受到双流县党和政府以及双流各界爱心人士对他们的关心和帮助，11月25日，县红十字会给棠湖中学零班65名同学送来了御寒的65套羽绒服和65床棉被。
下午2：30，捐赠仪式在棠湖中学第二阶梯教室举行，由校团委书记周映主持。县红十字会陈玉萍秘书长、周晓辉老师，棠湖中学熊伟校长，学生处主任朱玉彬，总务处主任王志强，学生处副主任叶超、副主任肖波，学导处副主任杨光智以及行政办副主任熊波等嘉宾领导到会。双流电视台、双流报记者也前来采访报道。

仪式上，熊校长做了重要讲话。他首先代表学校感谢县民政局、县红十字以及社会各界爱心人士对零班灾区学生的关心爱护和资助，感谢陈玉萍秘书长等领导于百忙中前来慰问这些孩子。他希望65位零班同学自强不息，心存感恩，认真学习，以优异的成绩回报社会和人民。此外，还要严格要求自己，不搞特殊，力争早日成为合格的优秀的“棠中人”！
随后，县红十字会陈玉萍秘书长向零班同学讲了一番感人肺腑的知心话。她希望所有零班的孩子都安心学习，不用担心家乡亲朋的生活，因为党和政府，社会各界都在积极支援灾区，保证灾区群众过一个温暖的冬天。同时，她祝愿零班的孩子们健康成长，幸福生活。最后，她还高度评价了棠湖中学在地震期间的突出表现，以及在接收65名灾区孩子时所表现的高度的社会责任感。
